Our Barrett Math Coaches are Lauren Ferraro and Wendy Mastaler
| Ferraro, Lauren | Teacher | lauren.ferraro@apsva.us | I have been working in APS since 2006. I worked as a 3rd teacher and kindergarten teacher before moving into the role of math coach. I graduated from Wheeling Jesuit University with an Elementary Education degree and received my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership/Math Specialist from George Mason University. I live in Arlington with my husband Jeff and my children Quinn and Enzo. I enjoy baking, working out, reading, and traveling! |
| Mastaler, Wendy | Teacher | wendy.mastaler@apsva.us | Hi there! My name is Wendy Mastaler and I’m from Pittsburgh, PA. My teaching career has spanned three counties within Virginia, where I’ve had the opportunity to learn and grow from different school systems. My journey began in Stafford County. I then made the shift to Fairfax County as an Instructional Coach before finally joining Arlington County Public Schools. After 5 years as a coach at Abingdon Elementary, I joined the Barrett family three years ago. I also earned my Masters from UVA in Curriculum & Instruction, along with my Educational Leadership & Administration Degree from George Washington University. Running with my Husky, playing with my three adorable boys, working out with my husband, reading, baking, and traveling are just a few of my passions! |
