K. W. Barrett Elementary is proud to be a Title I school, committed to ensuring that every child has access to high-quality education and the support they need to succeed. Title I is a federally funded program designed to provide additional resources and opportunities for students, families, and educators. At K.W. Barrett, we use these funds to strengthen academic achievement, foster family engagement, and create an inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.
Through Title I, we offer targeted instruction and family workshops that empower parents as partners in their child’s education. Our goal is to build strong connections between home and school, ensuring that every student reaches their full potential.
Barrett families play an important role in their children’s education. To support this partnership, the school offered two presentations of our Annual Title I Meeting this past year. The first presentation was held online on September 2, 2025, from 6:30–8:00 p.m. in conjunction with our first PTA meeting of the year. The second presentation took place in person on November 21, 2025, from 9:30–11:00 a.m. at the Lubber Run Community Center.
During both sessions, families learned about Title I services as well as the school’s Annual Action Plan, accreditation process, and accountability measures. Dr. Rivas led both presentations, and interpretation services were provided at each.
On this page, you will also find the monthly Title I events calendar we have organized, just scroll through the calendar. We look forward to your participation throughout the year!
