Hello Barrett Families! I am thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade again this year. I have enjoyed being part of the Barrett community as a parent, substitute teacher, reading/math interventionist and most recently, as a classroom teacher since 2018. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Wesleyan University and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the George Washington University. In my spare time I like to read, garden and spend time with my husband and two sons, Alex and Matthew. If you’re in my class, you’ll definitely hear stories about my crazy dog, Cody!

Hello! I am excited to be teaching 2nd grade again this year. I have enjoyed being a part of the Barrett 2nd grade team for the past 3 years. Originally from Alabama, I have been teaching since 2017, working in Washington, D.C, North Carolina, and now Virginia. I have experience as both an ESL teacher and Dual Language teacher and have loved working as a classroom teacher at Barrett. I have a Bachelor’s degree from Tulane University and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University. In my free time, I love to read, work on puzzles, travel, and spend time with family.

Hi Barrett Families! My name is Grace Farrer, and I am thrilled to be a second grade teacher at Barrett. This is my first year teaching, and I am excited to begin this journey with my students. I grew up in rural Pennsylvania and graduated from Susquehanna University with a B.S. in Psychology. When I am not teaching, I love to be outdoors - running, hiking, and camping are some of my favorite activities. I look forward to a great year of learning!
