I am so excited to be returning to Barrett to teach in a community I love so much. I started with the third grade team in 2021. I grew up in Vermont and graduated from the University of Vermont before moving to Arlington. I love to hike, travel, read, swim and ski! I started working at Barrett in 2021

Hi! I was born and raised in Pennsylvania and am a proud Penn State graduate. Go Nittany Lions! I live in Arlington with my husband and two daughters who attend APS schools. I am thrilled to be teaching 3rd grade at Barrett Elementary this year! When I'm not teaching or chauffeuring my two girls around, I love to read, hike and ski with my family. I look forward to connecting with you!

I joined the wonderful Barrett community as an English-learner teacher in January 2022. I am originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, and came to Northern Virginia to work for the federal government. After some time spent focusing on my own children, I switched my career to education, first as a library assistant at Ashlawn Elementary School. I earned my Masters in Education from George Mason University. I have two young-adult children who attended Arlington Public Schools, a husband, two Siamese cats (Chester and Minerva) and a Cardigan Welsh Corgi (Gwennie). In my free time you can find me walking Gwennie in the park, singing, reading, doing yoga, or baking.
