Third graders have been working on learning about animal adaptations both in their classrooms and in the Discovery Lab. Recently, students experienced what it was like to eat and drink with varying types of mouths during a table manners activity when they visited the lab. Take a look….we have some pretty messy eaters and drinkers! With this activity, students got a first hand experience about how animals have specific structures which enable them to survive. Here are some of the comments I was able to record while they worked with outstanding teamwork skills….
“Wow, this is too hard!” “Now, that’s a better way…what animal is like this?” “I can’t do it…help me! This is not easy!”
