Insect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabIt has been fun to learn about arthropods via the Incredible Insect Exhibit on loan from the Virginia Living Museum. The live insects, especially the praying mantis, are interesting to observe. A group of students used iPads and the Aurasma Augmented Reality app to create videos about some of the items in the exhibit. The video plays when any student holding the iPad zooms in on the target/exhibit item. I had the opportunity to share this cool technology using the Aurasma app on my iPhone with parents at Back to School Night.Insect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabInsect Exhibit in the Barrett Discovery LabBack To School Night 2013To view more photos, please visit Barrett.Discovery Photostream on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/projectdiscovery/sets/72157635751082145/
