Speaking with the Virginia Secretary of Education

Today, several of our 5th graders who have been working on the NASA Wastewater Design Challenge, had a chance to present their project to a select group of distinguished Virginia leaders. One of these guests was Mr. Gerard Robinson, Virginia’s Secretary of Education. The presentation was done via videoconference through NASA Langley Research Center. Mr. Robinson, along with several other members of the Virginia Department of Education were able to interact with the students, asking questions and giving feedback about their project.

As Barrett teachers, Mrs. Wendy Cohen, Mrs. Allyson Greene, and Dr. Laurie Sullivan, were extremely proud of these students and were honored to represent our wonderful school!

Way to go!
