This week the Kindergarteners participated in another rounds of OUT OF THIS WORLD Space Centers. We talked about Mrs. Bratt watching the shuttle launch 10 days ago in Florida. The shuttle flew to the International Space Station and will return this Saturday. At one of the centers the students experienced a mock shuttle launch. It was a very rough ride! After the students arrived at the International Space Station, they wore gloves like the astronauts as they tried to work on the ISS. At another center the students learned about the Mars rovers Spirit and Opportunity. The rovers are still roving after 5 years! Good robot! At another center the students used the laptop computers to learn about the solar system and the International Space Station with BrainPOP. The students love Moby the robot from BrainPOP as he interacts with either Tim or Annie.
