Mars Principal’s Reading Challenge

Posted by Laurie Sullivan at 9/10/2012

DSC09114This year the Principal’s Challenge to our students is to read at least 60,000 books and collect 60,000 words by the end of the school year. Having children read for both education and enjoyment is a major goal for us at Barrett. Please support our efforts by limiting television viewing and video game playing and by encouraging your children to read more. We thank Mrs. Poore for working with Dr. Sullivan to design the reading challenge board with the Mars theme. Barrett students are powering the exploration vehicle that will visit various destinations on Mars by reading books. When we reach our goal of 60,000 books and 60,000 words we will have a FUN DAY to celebrate our accomplishment. Mars rocks!
