Lambert, Morse, Littman – Kepler and Hubble Model

Posted by Laurie Sullivan at 3/23/2009 7:00:00 AM

The Kepler Space Telescope was the featured article in the March 20, 2009 issue of TIME for Kids magazine. After the class discussed the article, I showed the students the website where my son Jackson and I voted for the next object Hubble would view and photograph. Check out the winner….interacting galaxies! We will be able to view the photos next month. We watched a section of the National Geographic Channel, “Hubble Amazing Universe“. The program airs this month, so check your local TV listing. After lunch the students made models of the Hubble Space Telescope. We read about the purpose of each part of the telescope and talked about Hubble as a SYSTEM.
