Barrett’s model of Robonaut was unveiled at our annual Science Night and now lives in the Discovery Lab. All grades seem to enjoy learning about Robonaut and shaking hands. The real Robonaut 2 was flown on the Space Shuttle Discovery STS-133 mission and is now aboard the International Space Station.
You may enjoy watching the one minute “movie trailer” of Robonaut
In the Discovery Lab the Kindergarten students sent commands to a robot (really a student) to move in the correct direction to drop a ball in the bowl. Then they used the iPads to draw the NASA logo and Robonaut.
Looking carefully at Robonaut before drawing.
Shake hands and say HELLO to Robonaut 2!

Thanks Mrs. Poore for building our Barrett Robonaut!
