The Kindergarten students are currently learning about the endangered whooping cranes. For Barrett Career Week the students had the opportunity to dress up in costumes the researchers wear when they work with the whooping cranes. The students role played being either a crane researcher or a whooping crane.
Next week Mr. Ken Lavish who works with real whooping cranes will visit Barrett to talk to the Kindergarteners about his job. The students will wear the Whooping Crane Story Hats they made in the Discovery Lab to the presentation. Look for these hats to arrive home this Friday November 12th and please ask your child to use the hat to tell the story of the endangered whooping cranes.
