Kindergarten students learned about two ways astronauts train to go to space; in a plane and in a pool (the NBL at Johnson Space Center). Each student was given a model of a space suit and then added weights so that the astronaut did not sink nor float. Combine float and sink and you get FLINK! Also, here is a video of the lesson when the current 5th graders experimented with FLINKERS when they were in Kindergarten. http://animoto.com/play/jaLtIdeXb9zFXTdFfEEImw# Here are photos for the current K students in action: http://www.flickr.com/photos/projectdiscovery/sets/72157640651829335/
