Spring Break was hopefully a time for everyone to do some relaxing and to spend time with family.
Mrs. Rivera’s 3rd grade class had a special family project….engineering a boat with only certain materials, which they ‘shopped’ for in the Discovery Lab before going home. These boats had to be at least 6 inches long, but no longer than 14 inches and must float for a miniumn of 5 minutes. Mrs. Pamela Rodriguez translated all of the instructions and criteria for our families, and the students did a great job of communicating their task to their parents!
As you can see, teamwork can make for the best engineering designs! Great work, Mrs. Rivera’s class!
