After visiting Patuxent Wildlife Refuge, 3rd viewed their photos and used descriptive language to debrief their visit. Using various strategies, such as pair/share, a graphic organizer, and sensory imagery, students worked to develop a WORDLE. WORDLES are a fun way to show what you have learned and were very well done by our students. Below are some pictures showing third graders working in a collaborative setting. Also are some wordles done by our students. Objectives of this lesson included: Content Objectives:
- Students will be able to complete a graphic organizer.
- Students will be able to choose words to describe their feelings about the trip and what was observed. (plants, wildlife, etc.)
Language Objectives:
- Students will be able to listen to others describe their favorite parts of the trip.
- Students will be able to summarize their thoughts and feelings by creating a WORDLE.
