Discovery’s STS-133 mission is an 11-day flight to deliver a humanoid robot and a new storage room to the International Space Station. It will be the final flight of shuttle Discovery before NASA retires its three-orbiter fleet later this year.
“Discovery has been a really remarkable vehicle for us and the program,” said NASA test director Jeff Spaulding. “She still has a few more miles to go before she sleeps, though. She’s taken us on many amazing journeys throughout the years and we expect this flight to be no different from any of those.”
