Friday was Holiday Hair Fun Day at Barrett This week second grade students learned about the physical characteristics of the moon and moon exploration past, present, and future. We used books, a 3,2,1 Journal, and the computers to assist our learning. Some of our future NASA Explorer School lessons include a videoconferences with Wall-E at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland and Dryden Flight Research Center, located on Edwards Air Force Base by the Mojave Desert in California. We will also be designing a moon base to withstand a “moon quake” and participating in a hands-on lesson led by Rudo Kashiri from NASA Langley in the Discovery Lab.
