This week the second grade classes prepared for the upcoming videoconferences with NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Maryland. The videoconference is titled Mapping the Moon with WALL-E.To prepare, the students learned some basics about the features of the moon and the Apollo Missions to the moon. The students also discussed proper etiquette for videoconferencing. The videoconferences with Dr. Marci Delaney and WALL-E over the next two weeks should be informative and fun.

Instructional Objectives:

• Students will be able to identify some of the new NASA missions.
• Students will describe the roles of NASA scientists and engineers.
• Students will understand the two major objectives of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.
