Second grade students are continuing their study of endangered sea turtles. In the Discovery Lab the students participated in several activities. We reviewed our previous lessons and enjoyed singing the “Spyrtle the Turtle” song. Then students used the laptop computers (most of which were purchased with our NASA and Toyota grants) to play an online sea turtle migration game and to view videos on the National Geographic Kids website. Then the students made foldable flipbooks that they will use during their visit to the Discovery Lab next Thursday and Friday.
