I am originally from New York but moved south to Nashville, Tennessee to attend Vanderbilt University — Go ‘Dores! I received my undergraduate degree there in early childhood education and child studies before staying to receive my Masters degree in reading education. I taught kindergarten in Nashville before moving to the DC area. I have been at Barrett since 2012 and spent my first four years here teaching first grade. This year I am excited to be working with first and fourth grades as a reading specialist.

When I’m not teaching, I love spending time with my family, going on runs around the neighborhood, cooking, and reading, of course!
