Marissa Mulholland

My name is Marissa Mulholland and I teach the preschool special education class here at Barrett. I am originally from Sterling, VA. I graduated from Radford University in 2003 with a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education and Early Childhood Special Education. I received my Masters in Special Education in 2011. I taught preschool special education in South Carolina for 3 years before transferring to Barrett in 2006. Through the past 15 years of teaching preschool special education, I have seen students speak their first words, take their first steps, and reach other amazing developmental milestones in my classroom, which is one of the many reasons why I love teaching this age and find this job so rewarding! Some hobbies/interests of mine include: traveling to the South Carolina beaches, hunting for sharks’ teeth, watching scary movies, and spending time with my husband, our two daughters, and our beagle, Duke, who is a native South Carolina dog 🙂
