Hi! My name is Abby Crain, and I am the fourth grade special education teacher at Barrett. I have worked as a special education teacher at Barrett since 2013. I graduated from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY with my Bachelor’s in English Literature and a quad-teaching certification in Inclusive Education. I grew up in Syracuse, NY, and moved to Northern Virginia after I graduated from undergrad. I have my Master’s in American Literature from Georgetown University. In December 2019 I achieved National Board Certification as an Exceptional Needs Specialist in Mild to Moderate Disabilities. I also ran cross country, indoor and outdoor track all throughout high school and college and have run many marathons for fun. I love hanging out with my nephew and nieces, Henry, Bette and Blaire. I like to work out, travel, and read every night! I am excited and looking forward to a great year in fourth grade!
