Dear Barrett Families:

Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed a restful and relaxing winter break. We are excited to see you and our students back at school tomorrow! As a friendly reminder, the school day begins at 9:00AM. It is strongly recommended that students be dropped off by 8:45 so that they can have the option to get breakfast and be in class, ready to start their day by 9:00 AM. Students who want breakfast are able to enter the building starting at 8:40 AM.

Prior to the start of Winter Break, Arlington Public Schools distributed to each school one eMED test kit per student and staff member as the current upper respiratory virus spread continued with the surge in RSV, influence, and COVID in the community. These test kits are provided by the Virginia Department of Health and can be used in conjunction with the eMED telemedicine provider to get verified antigen results or as a standalone at-home test. Please feel free to utilize this and/or reach out to us to request one for your child. Additionally, ResourcePath is also providing free testing for Flu and RSV, at the Kenmore Middle School and at Tyson’s. More Information is located here.
